The iconic British brand MINI unveils its first-ever e-bike

MINI is launching its first range of electric bikes, the MINI E-Bike 1, designed to meet the needs of modern urban users, combining performance and style.

The iconic British brand MINI, known for its stylish compact cars, was launched in 1959 by the British Motor Corporation (BMC). Now celebrating that milestone, the new MINI E-Bike 1 will have just 1959 units to be sold.  The Electric Bike was designed for MINI by Angell Mobility.

The MINI E-Bike has a powerful electric motor that assists in pedaling, enabling users to cover long distances effortlessly.

The MINI Electric BIKE 1 is equipped with a 250W rear hub motor that provides the bike a maximum speed of 25km/h (15.5 MPH) and has three assistance levels, including fly eco, fly dry, and fly fast.

As the name suggests, the bike conserves the battery for maximum range in fly eco mode. In fly dry mode, it gives all the power to reach the destination without spending too much battery. Lastly, the bike cruises 25km/h (15.5 MPH) in the fly-fast mode in just one push for a flying-like experience.

Battery capacity is another crucial aspect of an e-bike. The bike has a 2.1 kg (4.6 lbs) removable battery that can be recharged within 2 hours on the main supply for full charge. A high-capacity battery will provide greater autonomy, reducing the need for frequent recharging.

The MINI Electric Bike has various technological features to enhance the riding experience. This includes a highly legible 2.4-inch LCD touchscreen that displays information such as speed, distance traveled, and battery charge level. Also, the bike can be connected to the smartphone via an App, allowing users to access additional features.

The app also lets users customize the bike’s settings, including alarms, indicators, lights, etc.

The limited-edition MINI E-Bike comes in two different frame configurations: the M, featuring a high frame ideal for taller riders, and the S, with a low frame for easier access.

The E-Bike weighs 17 kg (37 lbs), including the battery for the S frame and 17.5 kg (38.5 lbs) for the M frame, making the MINI E-Bike 1 one of the lightest e-bike experiences. The bike has a maximum load capacity of 120 kg (264.5 lbs), including rider, bike, and equipment.

The MINI E-Bike 1 comes with a wide range of equipment designed to offer maximum comfort, performance, and safety. That includes a frame made of aluminum, carbon forks, a kickstand, integrated injection-molded front and rear mudguards, and a thermoplastic chain guard, making it an ideal urban companion, ready to tackle any weather conditions.

The MINI E-Bike combines Parisian design with English craftsmanship, with leather-free saddle and handlebar grips made exclusively by the legendary Brooks England company.

Additionally, the E-Bike features an audible and high-intensity visual alarm if your bike is tampered with, an intelligent Automatic locking system via smartphone, and geo-location monitoring that tracks your bike’s location in real-time and sends alerts in the event of suspicious activity.

Furthermore, the bike has integrated turn signals on the handlebars, and the battery contributes to a safer travel experience by clearly indicating your direction to other travelers on the road.

The MINI Electric Bike comes with a two-year anti-theft warranty. If the bike is stolen, the company will replace it.

The limited-edition MINI E-Bike 1 is priced at €3490 ($3724), and you can pre-order the bike by paying a fully refundable deposit of €349 ($372).
