US-based Specialized unveiled the new Haul LT, a long-tail cargo e-bike with increased carrying capacity. This bike is the successor of the company’s previous e-bike, the Haul ST.
The new Haul LT comes with a 772Wh battery, giving the bike a maximum range of up to 60 miles (96 km). It also has a 700w rear hub motor that gives you enough power to propel you and all your gear up steep hills and across town at up to 28 mph (45 km/h).
The bike’s 20-inch diameter and 3.5-inch wide Carless Whisper fat tires are designed to keep weight low for improved stability to provide comfort and traction on any terrain. It also has a 3-ply cover for excellent flat protection.
The Haul LT is for carrying cargo as this bike has a long back end with a maximum weight capacity of 176 lbs (80kg). An extra-wide center stand helps load and unload your cargo, rated for up to 441 lbs (200 kg), safe and easy, including rider.
The 31-inch rack is MIK-compatible, meaning it can support a variety of one-click, easily attachable panniers and bags. Mounted rails on either side of the front wheel can also support a variety of panniers, including Specialized’s custom open-top, hard-shell Coolcave. Specialized says you can fit six bags – or three passengers – on the Haul LT.
The bike has a unique single-size frame that adapts riders between 4 feet 5 inches to 6 feet 4 inches. The telescoping seat post can be adjusted over 13 inches, and the quill stem can rise almost 6 inches.
Specialized offers a variety of new accessories so that you can customize your bike in many ways. The Haul LT is compatible with various Specialized accessories to make it customizable to your needs, and modifications include school bus kits, big rig kits, and more.
Specialized offers a lifetime warranty on the frame and a two-year warranty on the motor and battery of the e-bike.
Specialized’s Haul LT is priced at $ 3,500 on their official website.
