FIFISH V-EVO underwater drone can shoot 4K videos at 60FPS

Underwater drones are increasingly being used to explore the most extreme depths of the world’s oceans. Equipped with a range of sensors, cameras, and other technology, these drones can collect data from deep underwater. This data can be used to help understand the undersea world, such as to study ocean currents, coral health analysis, and marine geomorphology, among others.

Shenzhen-based Qysea Technology is revolutionizing this rapidly growing market for compact underwater drones with its award-winning V6 series.

The latest addition to the series is its impressive FIFISH V-EVO, the first underwater drone to feature a 4K 60 FPS camera and 360-degree omnidirectional movement, allowing explorers and filmmakers to capture stunning underwater moments in high-resolution video.

The V-EVO is linked to its surface-located operator via a communications tether, to which a handheld controller is connected. Using this controller, the user can relay commands down to the drone while watching real-time video from its camera via an app on their smartphone.

FIFISH V-EVO features a camera with a 166-degree wide-angle lens and a maximum resolution of 4K/60FPS. This allows the drone to capture increased detail and smooth slow-motion videos in ultra-high definition. The drone is equipped with dual 5000 lumens 5500K white LED lights that optimize your vision across the deep sea and restore the colors of the world below, especially through dark and turbid environments.

The underwater drone also utilizes AI-powered image enhancement software to digitally filter out plankton-induced white marine flakes and improve footage clarity. In addition, its unique six-thruster layout enables unrestricted movement, facilitating creative and dynamic underwater filming.

Additionally, QYSEA’s self-developed and adaptive imaging system lets you see the underwater world in its true vivid colors, with dynamic reduction of noise reduction.

What’s more, the FIFISH V-EVO’s hydrodynamic, fluid, and rugged water droplet design ensures minimal resistance against ocean currents, allowing for longer dives. FIFISH V-EVO’s powerful accessory port allows the drone to expand its abilities underwater. The attachment port accommodates a variety of tools, such as a grasper arm, retrieval hook, or net-patching kit, enabling integration and versatility for various tasks and scenarios.

The 4.1-kg V-EVO has a top speed of 3 knots (5.6 km/h) and can operate in water temperatures ranging from -10 to 60 ºC. The drone run for an hour per battery charge at full mobility and for up to four hours when it’s only hovering in one direction.

The compact FIFISH V-EVO is suitable for both leisure and professional use, such as filmmaking, deep-sea exploration, marine monitoring, scuba diving excursions, and more. The pricing of the underwater drone starts at US$1,299.
