Bikes are fast and flexible, and easier to ride. However, if you hit a patch of gravel, a pothole, or a wet spot on the road, things can go bad very quickly. It is tough sometimes to balance the bike in such conditions. Three-wheeled bikes are an excellent alternative to these problems as they don’t need to be balanced when stationary, making riding and dismounting them easy.
US-based X-OTO, Inc has launched its innovative three-wheel leaning electric scooter. This scooter has a patented self-stabilizing mechanism that delivers stunning control, maneuverability, stability, and safety.
The self-stabilizing technology is very simply integrated with the scooter. The two back wheels attach to the rear swing arms that move in conjunction with each other. This synchronized wheel movement allows XOTO to lean around corners and curves. The low center of gravity combined with the spread and movement of the two back wheels helps keep the user upright around curves and in quick-reaction emergencies.
This innovative three-wheel leaning electric scooter provides instant torque for instant acceleration to the scooter. Also, because it has few moving parts, so it has low maintenance.
X -OTO’s new 3-wheel electric scooter is a front-wheel drive that delivers better control and stability on the road. This scooter is integrated with a 3000W brushless hub motor which gives this scooter a top speed of 45 MPH (72 kph).
These three-wheeled electric scooters have two advanced lithium-ion batteries, 2.15 kWh each. A single battery can give the scooter a maximum range of up to 45 miles (72 km) on a single charge. An optional second battery can be swapped out easily to extend the range up to 90 miles (145 km).
“It is a totally different riding experience. The mechanism gives stability in a turn, even at a lower speed. This means you can lean at the full range no matter what your skill level,” says Huntzinger. “Riding X- OTO feels different. It’s safer than a motorcycle and easier to ride, so it removes the barriers that hold a lot of people back. It’s easier to carry a passenger or cargo than an e-bike, so it should be more useful for most people. In many states, you don’t even need a motorcycle license to ride it.”
XOTO’s 3-wheel electric scooter is available on its official website, with prices starting at $7499 and deliveries to begin in June 2023.
