Foldable Raine One electric scooter with the top speed of 50 km/h

Melbourne, Australia-based electric transport company Raine, in partnership with the LIFX smart light bulbs, has designed and developed a product that’s easy and fun to ride. Blending style, speed, portability, and top-notch technical features, the Raine One electric scooter is designed to be the safest, smoothest, and most exhilarating electric scooter in the world.

The Raine One comes with an advanced 500-watt hub motor powered by a 48-volt 500-600Wh Lithium-ion battery. The Raine One electric scooter can reach the top speed of up to 50 km/h (mph) and has the maximum range of 40km (25 miles).

Safety is one of the most important aspects of the Raine One.

A range of 40 km on a single charge sounds perfect, just like the built-in ABS and traction control. The high-performance battery, using the same cell type as Tesla, supports on-board fast charging. The front suspension system, fast charging (with speed of less than 2 hours for a minimum of 20km or 12.5 miles of range), a large 5.1-inch display, and built-in GPS for burglar protection also look promising.

The frame is constructed from carbon fiber, and aircraft-grade aluminum components that stand on 10-inch high grip, puncture-proof all-weather tires mean your ride will be just as smooth, no matter where you go. The scooter weighs around 12 kgs (26 lbs) and can support nominal 120 kg (264 lbs) of rider weight.

Safety is one of the most important aspects of Raine One. It comes with a sophisticated ABS braking system and poly-shock suspension for a smoother and safer ride. Besides, it has a hydraulic front disc brake and a friction guard regenerative rear brake, while the programmable LED lights are there to maximize visibility even on the darkest of nights.

Additionally, it has a smart lock, handy integrated high-tensile steel cable, and an app-controlled electronic immobilizer built-in. The Raine One can be folded in seconds, which allows the user to carry it anywhere easily.

The scooter is currently raising funds on the Kickstarter crowdfunding platform.
