Biktrix Moto, a moped-style ebike with a range of over 100 miles

Whether as an alternative for daily transport or as a companion for leisure moments, there is no doubt that the electric bicycle has already earned a place in the storage room of many people. The continued evolution of this sector was already considerable in recent times, but the pandemic has also accelerated its progress.

The novelties in this segment do not stop landing, and one of them is from Biktrix, the company behind last year’s impressive Juggernaut HD Duo electric fat bike. The Canadian e-bike brand has launched the Biktrix Moto, its first moped-style ebike, with a dual battery option allowing you to travel over 100 miles on one charge. The Moto has a muscular body and is a suitable option for the all-terrain.

Built on a 6061 aluminum frame, the Biktrix Moto is equipped with a powerful 750W Bafang hub motor, optional dual 48V 21Ah (over 2000wh) batteries, and a smooth single-speed drivetrain. The electric bike has a maximum speed of up to 28 mph (45 mph). Its power and speed limit can be limited to 500W and 20 mph (32 km/h). The dual battery combination sits on top of the downtube that offers more than 100 miles (160 km) per charge, although the base model comes with just a single Hailong 48V 21 Ah unit.

Designed in many different colors, the model brings a comfortable ride on paper with its Tektro dual-piston hydraulic disc brakes, spring suspension forks, and bulbous tires. The Moto’s 6061 aluminum frame is being made available in two sizes: the smaller frame sports 20″ fat tires and is suitable for riders between 4’8″ and 5’5″ (142 and 165 cm), while the larger model rides on taller 24″ tires and fits for riders from 5’3″ to 6’2″ (160 to 188 cm).

Besides, the Moto comes with a built-in LED headlight and integrated tail light, a compact rear rack for hauling a little gear, and front and rear fenders, plus a chainguard that ensures your ride will be snag-free. A motocross-style seat adds a slightly unconventional look to the bike that you’ll either love or hate.

The Biktrix Moto is now available for a starting price of $2,299.
