RIC Technology launches revolutionary robotic arm printer for 3D construction

RIC Technology, a tech company specializing in 3D construction, has unveiled its latest innovation at the World of Concrete (WOC) 2024 conference. The RIC-M1 PRO compact modular robotic arm printer is set to transform the construction industry with its advanced automation, wider footprint, and intelligent material delivery system.

In response to the growing need for more affordable housing, RIC Technology’s RIC-M1 PRO is a game-changer in the 3D construction industry. Conventional gantry-based systems can be costly and time-consuming to set up, but RIC-M1 PRO is different. With its compact size and modular design, the robotic arm printer requires no assembly and can be operational in just 2-4 hours once on site.

One of the major upgrades of RIC-M1 PRO is the expansion of the printing footprint. With the extended length of the modular rail system, RIC-M1 PRO allows for the most extensive range for printing, with a 21.65 feet printing width, 42.65 feet printing length, and 14 feet printing height. This means that the printable terrains are expanded from homeowners’ backyards to mountains.

The advanced automation of RIC-M1 PRO reduces the number of skilled labor required to operate the robot from three to two, consequently enhancing productivity and slashing costs. The training process was also reduced from 1-2 months to 1-2 weeks. Additionally, RIC-M1 PRO is built with a data login for real-time material quality control, reducing human errors and improving printing quality.

RIC-M1 PRO comes with an integrated self-loading ⅜ aggregate mixer-pump, enabling it to print with either concrete or mortar. The ability to print with both materials increases flexibility and expands the printable terrains of the machine.

To showcase RIC-M1 PRO’s upgraded features, RIC Technology live-printed a wall segment at the 50th annual World of Concrete conference. The event attracted about 60,000 visitors from around the world.

“RIC-M1 PRO is a huge step forward in equipping the 3D construction industry to build more affordable housing,” said Ziyou Xu, founder and CEO of RIC Technology.

With its cost-effective, time-saving, and labor-reducing technology, RIC-M1 PRO is poised to transform the 3D construction industry and help alleviate the global housing shortage.
