Citroën continues to expand the range of electric vehicles intended for commercial use. The French manufacturer launched its cheap and charming Ami electric vehicle for inner-city micromobility last year, and now it’s being joined by the My Ami Cargo, a unique and clever electric delivery solution.
My Ami Cargo is an innovative, fully electric, ultra-compact economic solution on the market and designed to meet the new needs of professionals, from delivery of small packages over short distances in an urban setting to travel between sites.
The original two-seater has effectively been transformed into a one-seater, with a clear separation between the driver’s seat and the cargo area. It offers all the benefits of Ami and a total useful loading volume of over 400 liters and payload of 140 kg thanks to optimized modular space in place of the passenger seat.
There’s also an adjustable floor height and a modular shelf that doubles as a desk and is able to hold 40 kg in weight. The removable shelf is also adjustable and can be raised either towards the driver for better access to the storage area.
Its small size – 2.41 m long, 1.39 m wide, and 1.52 m high – along with its surprising turning diameter of 7.20 m, simplify city driving, maneuvers, and parking. My Ami Cargo offers protection superior to two- or three-wheel vehicles thanks to its steel tubular structure that protects against impacts. Its body height and driving position are at the same seat height as other vehicles on the road, giving good visibility. The glazed surfaces above the body line – windscreen, side windows, rear window, and sunroof as standard – offer 360° visibility and a bright interior, giving a sense of well-being.
The other features of My Ami Cargo are the same as the passenger model: weight less than 500 kg, 5.5 kWh lithium-ion battery is rechargeable on a simple 220V domestic socket in just 3 hours and promises up to a 75 km (47 miles) range. Its 6 kW engine gives a maximum speed of 45 km/h (28 mph).

My Ami Cargo will be available for order at the end of May, with prices starting from $7,821 or $29 per month as part of a long-term lease agreement in France. It is slated to arrive in early June.
