Near-infrared spectroscopy is an affordable and non-invasive method for studying the properties of thyroid tissue in detail. A team of researchers from ICFO used the LUCA platform, which combines near-infrared spectroscopy and ultrasound techniques to analyze thyroid tissue while also taking anatomical measurements at the same time.
