Three Phase One, an innovative e-bike with sleek design and cutting edge tech

A UK-based ebike shop Electrip Bikes has presented Three Phase One, an innovative electric bicycle designed as an all-rounder that offers a sleek design, smooth rides, innovative features, and cutting edge tech, all without the hefty price tag. Whether it’s commuting to work, meeting up with friends, or just going for a ride, the Three Phase One does all of this and allows you to cycle that extra mile that could have been a car journey.

The Three Phase One is designed to suit all shapes and sizes. Plus, it even has a throttle to make it easy for you to just step on and go, perfect for if you don’t want to pedal. The e-bike is built around an aerospace-grade aluminum frame, meaning the bike weighs just 20kg, including battery and motor. It comes with a zero-compromise design with only two color options on the two models – a Base model and a Boost model.

The bike’s two variants feature a removable, lockable battery pack integrated into the downtube. The Base model comes with a 10-Ah battery with a fast charger, while the Boost variant is treated to a 14-Ah Samsung battery. Either model offers a range of 80 km (50 miles) on a full charge.

A 250W rear-wheel brushless motor powers the Base model silently, giving you up to 24 km/h (25 mph) of assisted riding. And the Boost model has a Bafang 350-W motor for up to 32 km/h (20 mph), while the Shimano gearbox comes with 6-speed settings to choose from.

The differences between one version and another do not end there since the brakes are also better on the Boost, which are provided by specialist Tektro. Each bike includes a digital dashboard – that lets you know your speed, distance covered, and battery level – front and rear LED lights, 700c x40 tires and wheels, adjustable seat, disc brakes, built-in stand, and three levels of pedaling assist.

The Three Phase One is currently a subject of an Indiegogo crowdfunding campaign. As for the price, we have a Base version that starts at €938 ($1,140) and a Boost model at €1,109 ($1,345) with Indiegogo pledges. However, the recommended retail will be €1,400 and €1,647, respectively. If all goes to plan, shipping is expected to start in May.
