Taiwanese design company HYM Originals, a vinyl record player team has introduced a new hybrid DUO turntable. The Duo looks like a toy, not a music system. It is a turntable with a detachable Bluetooth speaker.
No more to worry about the fussy connections to a complicated stereo system.

DUO is devised with aptX Bluetooth to boost audio quality enable you to enjoy your favorite music or record. When it comes to enjoying music battery life is the first question comes to mind. DUO gives you 10 hours of playtime on a full charge.
You can carry the Bluetooth speaker with you to keep the music going due to its maximum range of 10 to 15 meters. DUO’s portable Bluetooth speaker works even without the turntable.

DUO has overcome the past limitation to integrate a phono amplifier and a power amplifier in an ultra-compact setup. Now in this novel device, additional amplifiers are not required.
DUO’s compact 3.2” (80 mm) diameter platter is only 1/4 the size of a standard turntable. It has provision to minimize the vibrations. DUO equipped with deceleration belt design and unique rotational stabilization to minimize the vibrations on the record.
DUO will play smoothly at 33⅓ rpm and 45 rpm with all common record sizes with decelerating from the motor’s 1100 rpm turning speed.
Two required elements combine to give DUO its stable tone as-
- The Audio-Technica AT3600L cartridge, to improve audio quality elements to provide better overall sound.
- DUO’s tonearm, which has a spring at the end. It replaces the traditional counterweight to automatically balance the tracking force at 2.5 g.
The tonearm cartridge’s high precision generates a right signal reproduction with <0.9% distortion rate. Which is helpful to provide an even tone and minimizing equipment damage from excess pressure on the needle.
DUO is equipped with the Qualcomm CSR8670 chip and aptX Bluetooth protocol to create lossless sound dispersion with a flat frequency response.
It integrates two full-range drivers and two low-frequency passive radiators to confirm a blasting sound experience with powerful bass.
DUO supports True Wireless Stereo Bluetooth connection and gives you a stereophonic option. It will automatically configure two DUO speakers into left and right channel. DUO will immerse into your life by wall-to-wall sound.
It has a built-in Amazon Alexa functionality which provides voice control your music while connected via Bluetooth.
