Bollinger Motors unveils all-electric B2 chassis-cab truck platform

Having decided to sell the E-Chassis platform separately from its B1 and B2 models, Bollinger Motors did not stop and the next step. The company has announced its plans to produce and sell the all-electric B2 Chassis Cab (B2CC), the world’s first and only Class 3 all-electric chassis-cab truck platform, and it offers unlimited work truck variants.

Bollinger B2CC has hydropneumatic all-wheel suspension, gantry axles, a customizable power system, a 120 kWh battery, a 10-kW onboard charger – among other things. The chassis has serious all-terrain capabilities, while the payload is 5,000-lb. (2268 kg).

The chassis that can be equipped with a single or double cab has a variable wheelbase and ample opportunities for transformation.

So far, two wheelbases have been announced (for 3018 and 3531 mm), but this is definitely not the limit. The number of commercial applications, according to Bollinger, is ‘infinite.’ The company is confident that municipalities, parks services, emergency response vehicles, airports, construction, landscaping, electricians, plumbers, security, and even the military can adapt it for their own.

It also comes equipped with safety-enhancing systems like hydraulic anti-lock power brakes (ABS), electronic traction control, and electronic stability control.

The Bollinger B2 Chassis Cab will be made available to commercial outfitters in late 2021 in both full cab and cutaway-cab variants.
