YouTuber Rich Rebuilds builds his own DIY version of Tesla Cyberquad

Do you remember Tesla’s special presentation where Cybertruck made its debut? During the presentation of the novelty, Tesla also showed a four-wheel, electric ATV called “Cyberquad,” which was supposed to be just an addition to the presentation and stole the viewers’ attention. At that time, we got no exact information on its price or when it might go on sale.

Why wait when you can do something yourself! Instead of waiting for the opportunity to buy a device and spend a lot of money on it, YouTuber Rich Rebuilds decided to create his own electric quad bike.

The creator has posted a 20-minute video on his YouTube channel that shows his version of Cyberquad, which is very similar to the one that Tesla showed. Although it looks like Tesla’s model, it does not allude to its name; it is dubbed as “Starscream.”

The car is built on the Yamaha Raptor 700 platform, released back in 2008. Some parts and assemblies were taken from Zero Motorcycles. The enthusiasts spent only 300 hours of free time to create Starscream.

The design allows it to accelerate to around 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) in under 4 seconds. It has reached speeds of up to a dizzying 102 mph (164 km/h) during previous tests. So it is not just a nice looking toy, but a machine that you have to take into account on the road.

Technically, however, it could drive even faster – which is exactly what its creator would like to do. Therefore, it is already planning to modernize the existing electric drive. In addition, Rich also added a winch that allows him to climb even the steepest hills if necessary.

This alternate version of the Cybersquad gives us an idea of what Tesla could offer if it decides to produce it in the future.
