A few weeks ago, the Swedish electric moto and e-bike maker CAKE presented its new off-road model Kalk INK. Its frame and engine based on their previous model Kalk OR, but with upgraded suspension and larger wheels.
Now CAKE has presented a street-legal version with the model name Kalk INK SL. The new version only differs from the INK in the accessories that make it legal. In this respect, the model, which is directly for the city, still has a structure that can reach light terrain and has a very modern body design.
To reduce the price, CAKE has modified some of its components, such as the materials of the frame or the suspensions, but it retains the powertrain, including the battery and the rear swingarm.
The 82 kg electric motorcycle can reach a maximum speed of up to 90 km/h (56 mph) with its 13.4 horsepower electric motor. Kalk INK SL has a range of up to 86 km (52 miles) with a 2.6 kWh battery pack. But if used speeding with an average speed of 70 km/h (44 mph), the Kalk INK SL can travel a distance of 35 km (22 miles).
The homologation package adds the lighting system, with a front headlight, taillights and turn signals, a rear-view mirror on the left side, the foot brake, the license plate holder, and the LED information display for speed to which it rolls. It is among the details mentioned that the model is very comfortable. Besides, the motorcycle seems to be able to carry two people easily, and on enduro trails, up to three hours of driving is estimated.
The price is set at $10,500. It is expected to reach retailers in June but can be pre-ordered by paying a deposit of $200. Of course, the price is not cheap, but the electric motorcycle still creates the impression that will attract many people.
