Trefecta RDR, the most powerful and affordable e-bike

The electric bicycle market is bringing us a good handful of pleasant surprises because companies dare to dive into designs that are, at least, original.

The Dutch Two-wheeler Trefecta has a few years ago made a name for itself with a bicycle at the price level of cars. And Now, the Dutch has launched a more affordable version called Trefecta RDR. The RDR is designed to cope with almost any terrain. But even ordinary commuters should be able to drive stylishly from work to home and back, thanks to sophisticated suspension and styling, a powerful motor with unusually long-range (due to a large battery).

With the optional Road Kit (RK) it is the solution for daily commuting

The Trefecta RDR has a very peculiar design that everyone might not like. Its frame made of high-pressure injection-molded aluminum with an adjustable rear angle.

The bike uses a mid-engine on the bottom bracket, which comes from the German brand TQ. Depending on your wishes, it can deliver 250, 500, or 920 watts. All engines have a torque of 120 Newton meters.

The battery is pushed from above through a lockable opening in the bulky belly of the aluminum frame.

About 1.5 kW of the removable battery allows 200 kilometers of range. The battery is pushed from above through a lockable opening in the bulky belly of the aluminum frame. The power of the engine is fed to the rear wheel via a belt drive and a hub gearbox with electronic control.

The 34-kilogram S-Pedelec drives up to 45 km / h fast; hydraulic disc brakes are therefore installed. The front disc brake with 22 centimeters in diameter is taken by a four-piston caliper in the pliers. Also, Trefecta RDR is available in 26″ or 27.5″ wheel sizes. In addition, an invisible ABS system is available. The RDR should thus be used as a sporty mountain bike.

The Trefecta RDR is designed for off-road trails.

On the handlebar, it carries all the elements to connect an iPhone since it relies on Carplay as the standard of connectivity with the bicycle. Through it, we can control the information of the maps, kilometers traveled, battery charge level, etc.
