Serial 1’s first single-edition custom eBike is up for auction

Ebikes and electric scooters represent valid solutions for getting around the city, avoiding traffic. There are many ebike models coming to the market with unique designs and longer ranges.

In October last year, the iconic motorcycle company Harley Davidson also joined the ebike market with a spin-off company called Serial 1, subsequently launching four stylish models for all riders, preferences, and budgets.

Serial 1 has now announced a new series of ebike called 1-OFF, which will see the release of new ebikes throughout the year, with the difference that each will have production capped at exactly one piece. The first of these unique models is a chopper-style ebike that’s being auctioned off online, with bidding open until August 11, 2021, at 5 pm MDT. On the last day, the one-of-a-kind ebike will be awarded to the highest bidder.

The MOSH/CHOPPER is the first offering from Serial 1’s 1-OFF custom series, with a special and extremely casual-looking custom body based on the brand’s MOSH/CTY. The model combines the silhouette of a 60s-era wheelie bike with psychedelic paint and loads of chopper style.

The custom ebike maintains all the features and functionality of the standard MOSH/CTY that inspired it. It is powered by a 250-W mid-mounted Brose S Mag motor with 90 Nm of torque that offers pedal assist up to 20 mph (limited to 25 km/h in Europe). It features the same 526 Wh removable battery for between 35 and 105 miles (56-168 km) of the per-charge range. Other features include the maintenance-free Gates Carbon Drive belt, 27.5-inch wheels with Schwalbe tires, smooth TRP hydraulic disc brakes, internally routed cables, and wires, and integrated lighting.

Custom modifications include a long-and-low banana seat with a custom stainless-steel sissy bar, a high-rise handlebar for laid-back cruising, and a ’60s-style “Street Freak” paint job.

Customization is such an important part of the motorcycle ownership experience,” says Aaron Frank, Brand Director at Serial 1. “For decades, people have been modifying their motorcycles to reflect their unique style and taste. The 1-OFF Series applies this same spirit of individualization and personalization to eBikes, showing people just how much fun it is to create an eBike that suits their own unique personality.
