Electric scooter models are more useful for short-distance trips in the city than electric bikes or motorcycles. Therefore, it is not surprising that different options are launched on the market that aim to make life – and driving – more comfortable for users.
The new electric scooter model from FlowDot, Mantour X, stands out, especially for an additional system that seeks to maintain the balance with great efficiency and little effort when carrying it folded. Aesthetically this model is not different from what is usually seen on the streets, but it emphasizes that its handlebar is double finished to ensure both good response and solidity.
Made of carbon fiber & aluminum alloy, the Mantour X e-scooter weighs 16 lbs (7.3 kg) only and measures exactly 80.2 x 13.7 x 18 cm (when folded), making it highly portable. Thanks to an advanced hinge system and a perfectly located action button, Mantour X is easy to fold in less than five seconds.
What’s more interesting about this model is, taking Mantour X back and forth is very comfortable since it includes a self-balancing mode that is adjusted by its own algorithms that allow you to carry it with one hand comfortably (as if it were a shopping cart) without having to make hardly any effort. Even the electric brake integrated into the scooter can be used in this situation.
The modern e-scooter is based on a 240W motor, allowing it to reach the speed of up to 20 km/h (12.4 mph). The scooter has a range of approximately 20 km (12.4 miles). Mantour X carries a double brake system and can be fully filled in 4 hours. A bright LED headlight, clear LED display – showing battering life and speed – and IP54 certified against water and dust, make for comfortable, confident travel.
Mantour X finds its support in Kickstarter, where it is available at HK$ 2,490 (about US$319), and the deliveries are expected in March 2020.
