Folding electric bicycle models are increasing in popularity. There are a number of fastest folding e-bikes in the market that folds into a compact package in just a few seconds. Now a Taiwan-based iMiró is throwing its hat into the ring with its X-frame folding e-bike “iMiró SIVRAC.”
iMiró SIVRAC is not exactly the new model. Previously it was launched on Indiegogo, and this time it is looking for support on Kickstarter.
What makes this bike more special is that it can be folded in just one second with its X-Frame body structure. This makes it very useful, especially for people who use public transport frequently. The aluminum alloy frame is flexible enough to be folded in a second and also strong enough to carry up to 120kg (264lbs) of weight. Riders simply need to pull the knob to the back of the handlebar stem and lift to fold.
This 22 kg (48.5 lb) e-bike is designed especially for urban use and can offer pedal-assist of up to 32 km/h (20 mph) in US and 25 km/h (15 mph) in EU countries with 250W/36V rear hub motor. A replaceable 36V/9.6Ah Li-ion battery can be charged within the frame or remove it and charge. The battery can be fully charged in less than 3 hours using the fast charger.
The electric bike can also be paired with the iMiró Go smartphone app, which helps the rider to monitor ride info, control lighting, help with navigation and can be used to check its location. There are SHIMANO’s Six-speed transmission system and front & rear disc brake system.
Additionally, each iMiró SIVRAC is equipped with a 1.3-inch OLED display on the handlebar that shows ride info such as battery life, speed, and distance. Besides, it also allows for settings tweaking and smart bike control.
What’s more? SIVRAC’s rear lights can be switched between 5 modes with a single touch or using our app – constant on, slow flash, fast flash, slow loop, and fast loop. You can also customize your SIVRAC with Interchangeable Frame Covers that come in 8 different colors.
It is currently running a Kickstarter campaign and, if all goes to plan, shipping is estimated to start in March 2020.
