Hubless Reevo e-bike amazes with its avant-garde aesthetic

The startup Beno Technologies has presented the new Reevo electric bike as a hubless e-bike thanks to its hubless e-drive system. Designed mainly for urban use and the result of long research and development work, the bike features a most spectacular design, in particular thanks to its wheels devoid of hubs and spokes.

But this is not the only futuristic aspect of this spectacular bike, as the Reevo has countless details that make it even more unique.

The Reevo e-bike turns heads with its unique patent-pending hubless wheels that are centerless all the way through. No spokes, no transparent center, no gimmicks, just pure engineering excellence and is built around a strong, lightweight core that’s finished in sleek matte black. The bike offers a specific housing for the removable battery, as well as a USB socket that allows you to connect a smartphone to recharge it while driving.

The design of the Reevo is based on a monobloc frame that houses the engine with a power of 750W; for Europe, cyclists have to settle for the 250W. The bike has a replaceable 500 Wh battery pack in its very thick middle. According to its manufacturer, it could reach a speed of 25 mph (40 km/h), again, only in the United States. In Europe, it will be restricted to 15.5 mph (25 km/h). Providing a maximum range of 37 miles (60 km), the bike can be fully charged within 3 hours.

Besides, this hubless bike is virtually theft-proof, featuring a one-touch fingerprint sensor, and integrated, automatic lock and GPS tracking. The bike can carry a smartphone on its handlebar that you can into a smart dashboard with the free Reevo app for IOS and Android.

Reevo also has a side stand that goes unnoticed, unless you need it. And the middle of the rear wheel still serves to carry a mini backpack, which makes the luggage compartment and can be attached to the fixed rim.

The ambient light sensor detects darkness and automatically turns on and off the ultra-bright headlamps and tail light. The rear wheel is equipped with indicators and light braking.

With its totally futuristic design, the Reevo electric-assist bicycle took four years of development before it finally hit the market. Ultra-equipped and just as connected, it is currently the subject of the Indiegogo crowdfunding platform, where it is available at early-bird pricing of $1,999 with the estimated shipping in March 2021.
