Gulfstream presents its spacious and best-performing business jet, the G700

Gulfstream Aerospace, one of the largest manufacturers of business jets on the market, unveiled its new flagship, the largest, best-performing aircraft in the business-jet industry, the Gulfstream G700. The jet is presented at the 2019 National Business Aviation Association Convention & Exhibition (NBAA-BACE) held in Las Vegas (USA).

The Gulfstream G700 will be the most spacious and fastest jet in the world, according to the company. It combines ultra-long-range, speed, and performance with cockpit and passenger innovation. In addition, the aircraft may have up to five living areas, will offer an extra-large ‘ultragalley’ and a large passenger lounge. Besides, it includes a six-seater dining or conference room; and a master suite with shower.

According to the first data, the G700 will be able to fly without refueling 7,500 nautical miles/13,890 kilometers at the speed of Mach 0.85 (652 mph) or 6,400 nm/11,853 kilometers at a maximum speed of Mach 0.90 (about 690 mph).

As for the dimensions of the aircraft, the length of the vessel itself is 33.5 meters, the length of the cabin is 17.3 meters, the height is 1.9 meters, the width of the cabin is 2.5 meters. Gulfstream designed the new generation winglets and two Rolls-Royce Pearl 700 engines for the G700 that generates 18,250 lb of thrust.

The jet also features the Symmetry Flight Deck, active-control sidesticks, touch-screen technology, the Predictive Landing Performance System, and other new safety advancements. The G700 Symmetry Flight Deck also comes standard with Gulfstream’s Enhanced Flight Vision System and Synthetic Vision on dual head-up displays.

The aircraft has already completed nearly 14,000 hours of lab testing, ground vibration testing, engine runs, loads calibration, and all structural testing required for the first flight. The first deliveries of the latest jet are planned for 2022.
