Future Motion reveals new self-balancing electric board with better performance

Future Motion has presented two new versions of its self-balancing electric skateboard – the Onewheel Pint X – an extended range cruiser, and Onewheel GT – their new flagship. The Onewheel GT and Pint X improve performance and capacity, making them an ideal choice for moving on and off the road.

The company points out that the new Onewheel GT is completely redesigned from the ground up to create the most advanced riding experience imagined. It features a new high-powered control system that allows the GT to produce 50% more power, torque, and dynamic performance at all speeds. It is the first three-horsepower Onewheel, with the 750-W Hypercore in-wheel motor, giving a top speed of 20 mph (32 km/h), while state of the art 21700 batteries provides the self-balancing electric board with up to 32 miles (52 km) on a single charge.

The GT features concave front and rear footpads for maximum comfort and control and aggressive grip tape for maximum traction. The built-in LED headlights are over 300% brighter than lighting in other models, so the GT might be more viable for nighttime rides. In addition, the GT comes standard with Onewheel’s aluminum, rubber gripped, premium Maghandle Pro handle that snaps in place when not in use. There is also a version with a treated tire for off-road adventuring. The user can take deep dive into settings, check battery status and connect with friends via the Onewheel app.

The Onewheel Pint X is an upgraded version of the award-winning Onewheel Pint from 2019, with an extended range of up to 18 miles (29 km) per charge, two times more than the base model. With a top speed of 18 mph (29 km/h), Pint X has extra juice to get where you’re going fast. Pint X goes 2 mph faster than Pint, which makes a massive difference on longer trips.

The new self-balancing electric board also features a built-in Maghandle for carrying convenience, an LED Lightbar integrated into the front footpad for sense pad indication, battery monitoring, and in-ride alerts. Using the Onewheel App, riders can choose between a wide range of modes, or Digital Shaping settings, to customize their ride.

“Pint X is what you want to take on the city,” says Chief Evangelist Jack Mudd. “It combines the speed and range of our former flagship product, the Onewheel+ XR, with the compact size of the Onewheel Pint to create this perfect blend of capability and portability. Plus, it’s insanely fun to ride. Pint X is going to be on quite a few people’s wish lists this holiday season.”

Onewheel Pint X is available for purchase and shipping immediately for $1,400, and GT is now available for $2,200.
