World’s first 1:1 model of the Ducati Panigale V4 R in LEGO Technic bricks

A couple of months ago, LEGO and Ducati introduced the Panigale V4 R model in the LEGO Technic kit designed to replicate the exclusive motorcycle. Now with the help of LEGO Technic bricks, they have clipped a real version of the motorcycle so that it also looks like it is made of building blocks.

The Ducati Panigale V4 R in a 1: 1 scale is the result of the painstaking work of two companies that, in their specific sector, represent excellence. And it is a work of art, signed by the LEGO Certified professional Riccardo Zangelmi of Reggio Emilia, which built it faithfully and without using the software.

It is made using around 15 thousand LEGO pieces.

For Riccardo, this is an absolute debut in the LEGO Technic universe: working by hand for 400 hours, disassembling and reassembling the various components several times to achieve an extraordinarily realistic result, the artist has shown that the LEGO concept of “Build for Real” exceeds any limit every time. The Ducati Panigale V4 R model weighs a total of 180 kg, and, for its construction, Zangelmi used 15,000 cleverly embedded bricks without the use of glue.

As this creation based on a Panigale V4 R, this faithful 1: 1 scale reproduction not only rides but also has an engine with 998 cubic-centimeter (cc), 221 hp (234 hp with competition exhaust) and 112 Nm.

A work born from teamwork between LEGO builders and Ducati engineers.

After the presentation, the event continued with discovery and fun for those present at the event, who were able to try their hand at a “driving experience” on the circuit with Ducati motorcycles and in an original “building experience,” a 1: 8 scale motorcycle assembly course, held by Aurelien Rouffiange, Senior LEGO designer creator of the set now on sale.

The event signed by LEGO in partnership with Ducati, in fact, took place a few days after the launch on the market of the LEGO Technic Ducati Panigale V4 R set in a 1: 8 scale, for 32 cm in length, 16 cm in height and 8 cm in width. A model faithful to the original that will allow LEGO lovers and motorcycle enthusiasts to be able to rebuild brick by brick the fireball of the Borgo Panigale house.

Also, it is the first motorcycle model in LEGO Technic’s history. It includes a gearbox to simulate different speeds and driving techniques. All this together with a rich series of details reproduced in the most faithful way possible, from the steering to the suspensions to the disc brakes that give a realistic movement. The set is on sale at the recommended price of $69.99.
