Evolve’s new electric skateboard hits a top speed of 50 km/h

Evolve Skateboards, an Australian manufacturer of top-quality electric longboards has announced the launch of its most advanced electric skateboard to date. Built for those who want more, the newly introduced Hadean series will offer four times more performance than its predecessor, the GTR series rolled out by Evolve in 2019, and 37% more battery capacity with a top speed of 31 mph (50 km/h).

The Hadean Carbon is the world’s first chassis-style electric skateboard deck and frame, handmade using forged carbon fiber, a material used in aircraft and high-performance supercars like Lamborghini. The patent-pending design allowed Evolve to increase performance without compromising on size and the sleek low profile look. The deck also includes another first for e-skating, air vents, which draws heat from the internal electrics.

The Hadean Series uses 16AH, 691.2Wh lithium-Ion battery and dual 3000-watt electric motors to power itself. It produces zero carbon emissions, can reach the top speed of 50 km/h (31 mph), and travel up to 65 km (40.4 miles) on a single charge. This 12.3 kg (27.1 lb) electric skateboard uses an entirely new proprietary motor controller, the E-FOC, which revolutionizes how smoothly a rider can harness the intense power produced by the Hadean’s dual 3000w motors and 12S battery structure.

The company has also redesigned the Bluetooth hand remote that provides intuitive acceleration and braking through its dual trigger design and shrouds it in a robust aluminum frame. It also allows control over the board’s new lighting system, which includes real-time hazard lights when the brake is applied and an indicator for low-battery.

Additionally, the Explore by Evolve App opens even greater levels of customization, with the introduction of power, acceleration, and brake curves, and a user may also dial in their inbuilt lights with dual colors and full RGB color selection. The app can also be used to view board diagnostics and track their rides using GPS to compete on a global leader board.

The specifications described above refer to the Hadian Carbon Street version. The company is also offering these models with either street wheels or bulkier all-terrain wheels, as well as a 2-in-1 version and the one with a bamboo deck.

The Hadean Carbon Street price starts at $2,899, with all models available for pre-order from this weekend and deliveries slated for September.
