Lamborghini and Ducati surprise us this week with the Ducati Diavel 1260 Lamborghini presentation, a motorcycle born from the collaboration between these two prestigious brands. This new eye-catching motorbike pays homage to the Lamborghini Siàn FKP 37 hybrid supercar with a limited production featuring lots of carbon on the power cruiser’s higher-spec S variant.
Unveiled during a special Ducati event, the Diavel 1260 Lamborghini does not hide the slightest that it wants to be the Lamborghini Sián FPK 37 of motorcycles. One of the few differences is that, while the Italian hypercar will have only 63 units manufactured, Ducati will be more generous and make 630 units. The number 63 painted on the side is a tribute to the Lamborghini, founded in 1963.
The designers’ inspiration for this very special project came from the Lamborghini Sián FKP 37, one of the brand’s fascinating models. The dynamic structure of the Ducati Diavel 1260 S has been fused with the striking design of the super sportscar. This means the bike enhances its power, performance, and unmistakable roar with a series of super sports car-inspired features, like new lightweight forged wheel rims and carbon fiber air intakes, radiator, silencer, and tank covers, and front and rear mudguards.
Every detail of the bike, redesigned by the Ducati Centro Stile for this project, is made of a light and precious material such as carbon fiber, also inspired by the car’s design. Besides, the seat post, the front, and rear wings, the instrument cover, and the headlight frame are also made of carbon.
The paint applied to the bike is the same as that used for the Sián FKP 37. The bodywork is painted in Green Gea, while the chassis, subframe, and forged wheels include details in Electrum Gold. A number of stylish Lamborghini hallmarks, like the “Y” details on the saddle and a hexagon-shaped exhaust, further intensify the bike’s appeal.
Technically the specifications do not change compared to the regular version of the Diavel S, so we find a 1,262 cc twin-cylinder Testastretta DVT that unloads 162 HP at 9,500, with a peak torque of 129 Nm at 7,500 rpm. It is equipped with Öhlins suspension and Brembo M50 brakes with red calipers. To get the Ducati Diavel 1260 Lamborghini in the garage, the price starts at $31,995.
