A Hong Kong-based startup launched a DS Pixel Keyboard, now available on Kickstarter. This versatile device combines the functionalities of a keyboard and a monitor. The DS Pixel Keyboard comes with a hot-swappable transparent keycap frame, which acts as physical keys on the top of the screen.
The keyboard display of the DS Pixel Keyboard has a 60Hz touchscreen with a peak brightness of 300 nits. Its extensive 20,000mAh battery powers a 14-inch ultra-wide IPS display with an image resolution of 3840 x 1100 pixels, lasting up to 12 hours. The DS Pixel Keyboard supports a 7-degree angle and has two stereo speakers attached.
As far as its keyboard is concerned, the DS Pixel Keyboard keys have a short travel distance of 1.2-1.5mm, allowing a swifter and precise typing experience. It combines an 8K polling rate with 40g and 50g trigger forces to enhance comfort further.
The DS Pixel Keyboard supports almost all major operating systems, including Windows, MacOS, Linux, and Android. It provides its users with a flexible touchscreen and completely customizable buttons that boast a light transmittance of up to 90%, which produces better visual effects.
This keyboard has over 75 keys, each of which can be customized with a unique emoji. This feature is not limited to emojis or GIFs; you can set animated icons, family photos, or pet pictures. Interestingly, users can import an MP4 file and run it in the background. The DS Pixel Keyboard offers endless customization possibilities.
