DJI launches its most advanced commercial drone platform and a hybrid camera

Drones are more and more used in the professional world, and the crisis due to the coronavirus epidemic has shown us well the importance of these devices. Using a professional drone can save considerable time for monitoring high-voltage lines, railways, and gas and oil structures.

Followed by multiple needs, DJI has so far launched a number of commercial drones in the market. Now the leading commercial drone manufacturer has released the Matrice 300 RTK, its most advanced industrial drone platform and Zenmuse H20 series – a multi-sensor hybrid camera. High-tech all-encompassing DJI solution, designed to open up new opportunities and exploit the use of drones in areas never explored before, to operate with precision in data collection.

DJI engineered this all-in-one, high-tech solution to expand possibilities and exploit areas of work never explored before.

The Matrice 300 RTK:

It is the DJI’s latest commercial drone platform that perfectly combines modern aeronautical functions, advanced AI capabilities, 6-Direction Sensing and positioning system, an APR management system, and an impressive 55-minute flight range.

Together with AES-256 encryption for secure data transmission and IP45 protection for water resistance, this aerial platform is also equipped with the brand new OcuSync Enterprise transmission system, which offers the transmission of video images at 1080p on a triple channel and up to 15 km of distance.

Capable of supporting the use of three instrumental loads simultaneously and up to an added weight of 2.7 kg, the M300 RTK is more versatile than ever. Its software, its various cameras, and its technical sheet will enable it to become one of the most effective and precise monitoring tools. Besides, DJI has equipped its drone with a thermal camera, and the craft can evolve in temperatures ranging from -20°C to 50°C.

DJI Zenmuse H20 Series:

DJI has unveiled complete new camera payloads that radically improve mission efficiency: the Zenmuse H20 series that comes in two versions – the H20 and the H20T. The H20 gimbal offers three sensors, including a 20MP, 23x Hybrid Optical Zoom Camera, a 12MP Wide Camera, and a Laser Range Finder covering distances from 3m-1200m. The H20T, a quad sensor that adds a 640×512 Radiometric Thermal Camera, allowing operators to see what is invisible to the human eye.

The H20 Series is IP44 rated, which protects enclosures from splashes of water from any direction. Besides, the Zenmuse H20 series allows users to smoothly switch between wide, zoom, or thermal cameras, all thanks to the multi-sensor integrated UI design.

With the M300 RTK flying platform and the Zenmuse H20 camera series, we are providing a safer and smarter solution to our enterprise customers, said Christina Zhang, Senior Director, Corporate Strategy at DJI. “This solution sets an entirely new standard for industrial UAV solutions, significantly enhancing operations across public safety, law enforcement, energy, surveying, and mapping as well as critical infrastructure inspections.

DJI took advantage of the presentation of its new drone to open its pre-orders. The first deliveries will arrive in the second quarter of 2020, while the pricing is yet to be announced.
