BMW Motorrad has presented a new electric scooter concept called Definition CE 04. The segment-shaping design of the Definition CE 04 embodies a new urban aesthetic and stylistic evolution. So far, no specifications have been announced for this vehicle.
The design is characterized by a low, elongated vehicle body with a floating seat. The two-tone design in black and white underline the futuristic design.
To achieve this design, the difference is in the flat battery that electric scooter incorporates, which allows new shapes and lower the center of gravity. The slim batteries in the underfloor section and the compact drive unit on the rear wheel offer scope to explore new avenues. The upright front section houses U-shaped LED headlights.
The bench design of the BMW Motorrad Definition CE 04 allows riders to climb on easily from the rear and improves ergonomics for single riders, regardless of their leg length or body size. Besides, the riders can connect with their surroundings via a combination of the scooter and their smartphone. The 10.25-inch display is the largest of its kind so far in the scooter segment and serves as an interface between the rider’s analog and digital worlds.
BMW says the Motorrad Definition CE 04 is positioned as a practical solution that can be used for daily commuting or other business within the city. It is not intended for mountain walks in fine weather. It has not yet been announced when the BMW Motorrad Definition CE 04 will go on sale as a consumer-ready electric scooter and what the price will be. However, the Definition CE 04 offers a concert outlook on what a near-production vehicle could look like.
