A simple secret to a longer life

Its health benefits are about twice as strong as previously estimated.

Griffith University researchers conducted a study to quantify the impact of low physical activity (PA) on life expectancy, estimating how much life expectancy is reduced due to low PA and how much it could be improved by increasing PA levels, both at the population and individual levels. The study used US-based accelerometry data to more accurately assess physical activity levels, eliminating the reliance on self-reported survey responses typically used in previous research.
