MIT introduces Boltz-1 for predicting biomolecular structures

An equivalent alternative to DeepMind’s AlphaFold2.

MIT scientists have introduced Boltz-1, a cutting-edge open-source AI model designed to accelerate biomedical research and drug development. Developed by the MIT Jameel Clinic for Machine Learning in Health, Boltz-1 is the first fully open-source model to achieve top-tier performance, on par with AlphaFold3 from Google DeepMind, which predicts the 3D structures of proteins and other biological molecules.
