Kitchen reforms could reduce household air pollution

Household air pollution remains a major public health issue.

In a new study, researchers from Peking University highlight the health benefits of kitchen renovation as a cost-effective way to reduce household air pollution in rural China. They found that simple kitchen improvements, such as the adoption of separated kitchens and mechanical ventilation, could significantly reduce exposure to harmful pollutants.
