As Quantum Computers can seamlessly break the existing cryptographic algorithms, securing the data in transit is crucial. To protect the data in transit from quantum computer attacks, Google has integrated Chrome 131 with a new quantum-resistant encryption algorithm, ML-KEM. This integration protects the Chrome Desktop clients from quantum and classic attacks. ML-KEM has been implemented in Google’s cryptography library, BoringSSL, and any service depending on this library will benefit from ML-KEM.
