A new study suggests semaglutide, used for diabetes and weight loss, may reduce opioid overdoses in people with both opioid-use disorder (OUD) and type 2 diabetes (T2D). Researchers analyzed six years of data from nearly 33,000 patients and found a lower risk of overdose with semaglutide compared to other diabetes drugs.
