Astronomers detected the 138 small asteroids ever in the main belt

They are decameter-sized.

MIT astronomers have developed a new method to detect small asteroids, as small as 10 meters in diameter, in the main asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter. Previously, only larger asteroids (around a kilometer wide) could be identified. With this new approach, the team has discovered over 100 new decameter asteroids, ranging in size from bus-sized to stadium-sized. This breakthrough, could enhance efforts to track asteroids that might pose a risk to Earth.
