A joint research team from the Renewable Energy System Laboratory and the Energy ICT Research Department at the Korea Institute of Energy Research (KIER) has developed key technologies to realize “Urban Electrification” using artificial intelligence (AI). An energy management algorithm and system have been implemented to address the stability issues of urban power grids.
