Melanoma, a serious skin cancer starting from pigment cells, can spread and become metastatic, making it dangerous. Cases have been rising, with the WHO predicting over 424,000 cases and 94,000 deaths by 2035. Bristol Myers Squibb’s CheckMate -067 trial showed that combining Opdivo and Yervoy significantly improves survival rates for advanced melanoma, with 43% of patients alive at 10 years.
