Researchers at NTU have created a method for 3D concrete printing that sequesters carbon, presenting a new approach to lessen the construction industry’s environmental footprint. This technique seeks to significantly decrease the carbon emissions linked to cement – a substance responsible for 1.6 billion metric tonnes of carbon dioxide (CO2), which accounts for approximately eight percent of global CO2 emissions – by minimizing material use, shortening construction timelines, and reducing labor needs.
