Bird Air, the new high-tech, foldable, more affordable e-scooter

If electric scooter market is experiencing a real boom today, it is also due to the California-based micromobility company Bird, which was among the first to launch a scooter-sharing service in Europe, the Middle East, and North America. Now, the company has introduced Bird Air, the new high-tech, foldable, affordable electric scooter that you can own.

The Bird Air is for urban commuters and anyone looking for a new way to get around their neighborhood, providing that same great feeling of riding a Bird in an easy-to-store format. In addition, the Air features a sturdy compact aluminum frame that will take on your daily rides with ease and allow you to fold, carry, and secure it anywhere you go.

The e-scooter has a top speed of 16 mph (25 km/h). It is equipped with a Smart Battery Management System that allows you to ride up to 15.5 miles (25 km) on a single charge with a 36V (5.0 Ah) battery. The word “Air” indicates a featherweight of just 30 lbs (13.6 kg) and is capable of dealing with users up to 220 lbs (100 kg).

This Bird Air electric scooter integrates anti-theft protection for security and Bluetooth connectivity for easy pairing with your phone. The app lets you easily lock, unlock, locate, and track your Bird Air.

The design also includes additional features like aircraft-grade aluminum framing, never-flat tires, and enhanced front and rear lighting that make Bird Air comfortable to ride. It also holds more than 30 US and international safety certifications. Due to its size, the Air can be a good last-mile vehicle, covering the remaining distance from the bus or subway stop to your home.

Air is now available at the price of just $599 in the US through Target and will arrive at the official Bird store “in the coming days.” International availability starts sometime in November.
